This astounding tour is fueled by a passion for storytelling that echoes the themes of Unity, Hope, Forgiveness, and Awareness.

The Black Authors Matter Tour is a global literary tour celebrating the diverse voices of Black authors worldwide. The tour aims to connect the international Black author community through author spotlights, diverse literary conversations, cross-cultural dialogues, writing workshops, and networking events.
This initiative is being derived by Nikko D. TooGood, the Creator and Curator, Deandre Brown, the Communications Director, and Dr. Pamela Gurley, the Ambassador.

History: Ideation Behind The Establishment of BAM
The Black Authors Matter Tour was founded in 2020 by a group of Black authors who recognized the need to uplift and celebrate Black voices in literature. The core team recognized that black authors had been marginalized in a publishing industry dominated by white voices. The founders envisioned a movement that would bring attention to the rich diversity of Black literary talent. Inspired by this momentum, the founders expanded the initiative into a non-profit organization promoting Black literature and authors.
Today, the Black Authors Matter Tour is a beacon of diversity, spotlighting Black narratives year-round and advocating for the indispensable role of diverse voices in shaping our collective understanding of the human experience. Beyond entertaining readers, the tour aims to foster cultural awareness and remind them that stories are bridges to empathy.
At its core, the Black Authors Matter Tour believes sharing stories is the first step to changing hearts, minds and lives. Their success is proof that authentic, inclusive storytelling has the power to transform culture.
