MEET ANTOINE “TUT” STEWART
Smooth Jazz Bassist, Antoine “Tut” Stewart has over 20 years of experience as an artist. His music showcases a broader musical gift blending Gospel, Funk, Jazz and R&B into a soulful variety of songs. Though released in 2014, Antoine’s Album-EP “String Talk” continues to reach out to music lovers of all ages and genres. He is best known for his creative style and a unique sound that is well known around the world.
Coming from a musical upbringing, the Louisiana native started out singing in the church choir. With trial and error, he took up many instruments, until he learned the bass guitar at age 17. Then it was clear, Antoine had finally found what he was meant to do. He continued to hone his skills while studying and being influenced by artists such as: Fred Hammond, Wayman Tisdale, Andrew Gouche, Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller, Maurice Fitzgerald and Stanley Clarke among many others.
His successful experiences eventually opened the door for him to travel across the country and perform. He is currently serving in the United States 156th Army Band. Antoine’s character, professionalism, and exceptional musical ability has naturally evolved into a successful career in music.
