Yes, you heard that right. The users will soon be able to make AI profile photos in addition to the AI stickers.

Recently, WABetaInfo reported, “It appears that Whatsapp is dedicated to introducing additional AI features aimed at enhancing user interaction and offering a more personalised experience.”

How will it work?

The coming update from WhatsApp will bring a new feature that will let users create AI-powered profile photos. With the help of this tool, users will be able to design distinctive and customised images that more accurately capture their characters, passions, or attitudes. Users can instruct the AI to create a unique profile photo based on their description by sending a prompt describing the desired image. However, it still needs to be fully developed. The developers have yet to finalise it so the feature will be available in a later WhatsApp version.

As per the officials’ statement, “This AI-powered profile photo feature will enhance privacy for the user’s profile. By using AI-generated images, users can avoid sharing real photos, which can reduce the risk of misuse or unauthorised sharing of their images, although the feature to prevent screenshots of profile photos already adds layers of privacy for this situation.”
