A laptop that has an Augmented Reality (AR) glass instead of a screen is making the rounds on the Internet.
Tech Update: The future is here; the more we welcome tomorrow, the more we enter the tech world. Israeli company Sightful has introduced and launched its first Spacetop G1 device, an AR headset wearable laptop that uses spatial computing to give users an augmented reality “monitor” using glasses. Moreover, it is an entirely screenless laptop device. Rather than the conventional LCD and AMOLED panels they are accustomed to, the Spacetop G1 employs Augmented Reality glasses as a display.
With the help of connected glasses, the Sightful Spacetop G1 projects a 100-inch screen that can either open a single monitor or be split into multiple workspaces. The laptop also has USB-C ports to connect external devices like monitors.
A user wrote on X, “Your dream of working like Iron Man with a screen-free computer has come true. No more screens with Spacetop G1 laptop, designed by Sightful —just augmented reality glasses for a 100-inch virtual display with multiple screens.”
For $1,700, you can pre-order the screenless, AR-based laptop right now.
The AR glasses have two OLED screens, one of which has a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a resolution of 1080p for each eye. The Qualcomm Snapdragon QCS8550 chipset, which powers the Sightful Spacetop G1, has 16GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device should be sufficient for daily work like sending emails, making presentations, editing spreadsheets, and browsing the web, but it might need to be more vital for gaming or other resource-intensive chores.
Moving forward, the AR glasses also have an inbuilt microphone and speakers, so one can easily arrange and attend meetings in one go.
The Spacetop G1 is less advanced than Apple Vision Pro or Meta Quest 3, but Sightful isn’t positioning it as their competition. Instead, it’s marketed as a laptop replacement for productivity in crowded spaces like planes.

Sightful offers custom prescription lenses for users who wear glasses. The Spacetop G1 is up for pre-order with a $100 refundable deposit. Its original price is $1,900, but early adopters get a $200 discount, making it $1,700. The new screenless AR laptop is expected to ship in October.
The Spacetop G1 swaps out traditional LCD and AMOLED screens for Augmented Reality glasses as its display. It’s now up for pre-order at $1,700. For more information, visit the Sightful Website.
