Dan has many films streaming on Amazon Prime Video including “Cabin of Errors”, “The Elevator” starring Oscar Nominee Eric Roberts, and Crude Crypt Volume One which Features segments Directed by his wife (Jayleen S Perez) “Air B & D” and “Karmen”.
Dan Gregory stars in three feature films released in 2022. First is a psychological thriller “New and Forever” Directed by Joe Vrola and starring Yuval David. The second is a horror anthology “Tales From the Narrow Bridge” featuring many talented artists from Bayonne, NJ. The third is “Cult of Blood” starring the iconic Felissa Rose and Dave Sheridan. It’s directed by Robbie Lopez.

Congratulations on your marriage! What has the journey been like creating amazing films with your wife?
Dan: Thank you for the kind words! As of this interview being published, I will be happily married to the lovely and gifted award-winning Latina director, Jayleen S Perez. I’m very lucky to be with her. It’s a bonus that she directs films and co-produces them with me. The journey is difficult but rewarding. We both have very specific visions when it comes to a film. At the end of the day she trusts me to play a character and I trust her to oversee everything as a filmmaker.
Our first 2 shorts together “Karmen” & “Air B & D” have killed at film Festivals. “Air B & D” takes filmmaking and performance to a dark and unsettling area. I think that’s where we thrive in the horror and thriller genre. That project won Best NJ / NYC Film at the prestigious “NJ Horror Con and Film Festival” in 2021. We share that accolade with Joey Mosca (a dude who can do it all in the indie film business)
Jayleen and I have plans to make several more projects together including a very light-hearted drama that we plan to shoot in 2023. We will also make another bloody film too before we take a proper honeymoon. Keep your eyes on IMDb for her pre-production.
Please tell us about some of your latest projects. What you are most excited about?
Dan: I was honored to co-produce an animated short “Buildings” with the amazing Frog Boys. I’m excited to be acting in feature films. It’s my career goal to be consistently cast in features. So I will answer this question in four parts. Firstly, 2022 has already seen the release of the family drama “The Elevator” starring Oscar-Nominated leading man Eric Roberts. I play Police Officer Rourke in the film. I was stoked that my entire scene made the final cut of the movie. It had a theatrical run in Cincinnati and Texas. It’s co-directed by Jack Cook and Mukesh Modi. It’s available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
Secondly, “Tales From The Narrow Bridge” will make its world premiere at the 2022 Golden Door International Film Festival. This movie has a lot of talented humans in front of, and behind the camera. I play five different roles in this project so you’ll see all new sides of me including a dramatic turn in the chilling segment “Don’t Look Back”. Thirdly, I’m excited about “New and Forever”. It’s a psychological thriller. I play the second lead, Matt. It’s written and directed by Joe Vrola. The film stars Chappell Bunch and the brilliant Yuval David. It’s in the final stages of pre-production now and will be hitting film festivals and distribution soon.
Last but not least, “Cult of Blood” is always fun to talk about. At this time last year, I was shooting principal photography in Kansas. Time really flies. This horror/comedy film is slated for release this winter. It stars Felissa Rose, Dave Sheridan, Katelynn Newberry, and a lot of other gifted artists like Jesse Hobson. I play T-Rav. A loud-mouthed bleach blonde social media influencer. It’s directed by Robbie Lopez and co-written by Newt Wallen. It will be fun.
What keeps you motivated to stay in the film industry?
Dan: I believe the journey to becoming a great actor keeps me motivated. I’m motivated by the fact that it only takes one successful project to make your entire career. I’m motivated by all of the amazing people that I’ve met in the last 13 years. I’ve never met a successful person who has discouraged my dreams. I’m motivated because I trust my talent. Nobody is more patient or determined than I am.
What has been your favorite project so far and why?
Dan: My favorite project so far was “Tell Me Something Good”. I wrote, produced, and played the lead role of the insane kidnapper Chester. He’s a three-dimensional character who is well-intentioned despite his mental illness. I will be revisiting this character soon in a sequel. When the time comes a feature film version would definitely interest me. It’s available to watch it on my website. It will also be a part of Crude Crypt Volume 2 which will be released later this year.
What do you hope the rest of the year is like for you?
Dan: I hope the rest of 2022 will be enjoyable. I’d appreciate more opportunities to make movies, travel, and have fun with family and friends.
